We are pleased to announce that STS Partners LLP ("STS") will be merging with Morgan & Company effective January 1, 2013 to form Morgan LLP Chartered Accountants. In preparations for the merger STS will be moving offices effective December 3rd 2012.
The partners at STS are very excited about the move as it will ensure long term relationships between our firm and you. We feel that the new firm will provide the services that our growing client base requires while still being able to maintain the personal connection our clients deserve.
Morgan LLP will be large enough to ensure you get the services you need yet small enough (with only six partners) to ensure you get the personal attention you enjoy.
We will be combining the strong private company and tax practice of STS with the solid private company and assurance groups of Morgan & Company. In addition to private clients, Morgan LLP will also be registered with CPAB and PCAOB to provide audit work for public companies as well. With this combination, we as a team will be able to offer greater depth of experience and service to our clients, improved resources, and membership in two international association of global experts (JHI and TASK).
STS and Morgan & Company have worked together for a number of years and over that time we identified that combining our firms would result in numerous synergies.
In preparation for the merger STS Partners LLP will be moving offices to "The TD Tower" which is only one block away from our current office. The move will be effective December 3rd.

How will this impact clients?
In short... it will not!
1. You will still be able to work with the same people you work with currently.
2. All phone numbers and email address will continue to exist.
3. Loading zone parking will no longer be available when you are visiting the office. (sorry - but Pacific Centre has ample parking).
4. You will now have access to more resources, services and a larger team of professionals should you require it.
A brief note on the new name... As part of the merger we had to come up with a new combined firm name and we agreed on Morgan LLP as it fits in to the general format for professional firms. The name Morgan is a remnant of an old partner at Morgan & Company who is no longer present or involved with either of the existing firms or the new firm. The name Morgan comes from Irish/Scottish heritage and means "great kingdom" (per Wikipedia).... we are not, nor do we expect to be, affiliated with JP Morgan!
