Foreword

Dear members,

The Winter Meeting is approaching fast and we very much would like to welcome you at this new edition in 2013 as it will provide us with new insights in data gathering in music life. In the meantime, IAMIC didn't stop! We participated at the Euro Med Youth Expo in Limassol, Cyprus, which lead to our new membership of the Anna Lindh Foundation. Besides, for the first time, IAMIC had a separate stand at Womex and could count on a lot of interest in the work of MICs and IAMIC. This enabled us to negotiate better conditions for MICs at Classical Next. IAMIC had furthermore the opportunity to meet the head of Culture and Education at the European Commission and was invited to participate at an expert meeting about mobility statistics. In this context, IAMIC is also thoroughly following and participating with other associations in the negotiations about the new Creative Europe Programme that will start in 2014. It is of utmost importance for IAMIC to  be on Board as it largely determines the future of the association.  The Music Monitor will play an important role in this context.

Kind regards,
An-Heleen
