BRAZIL AND FALL TOUR 2012
 
James 4 13-15 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that."

BRAZIL
We returned for our second trip to Brazil for the month of September, and boy were we blessed with a full schedule! 18 performances of THE LAST SUPPER (in Portuguese) and 2 performances of PARABLES (in English). We stayed with Pastor Sandro and his family (our same host in 2010). We were able to minister in areas that few tourists visit. And even though we faced challenges (a van that overheated several times on the way to a performance, illness, equipment problems) we were able to reach 2700 people who saw our productions and 180 who participated as our disciples.

On our last night in Brazil, we performed at our host pastor's church. After the 2nd service we saw an entire family come forward to decide to follow Jesus. Halleluia! This was truely the result of different members of the body of Christ sharing the Gospel through Pastor Sandro's outreach and disciplesship plan.



FANTASTIC FALL FIRSTS FOR OUR 2012 FALL TOUR
Our itinerary is set (sort of), we take off and leave our 'inflexibility' behind. God does the rest. And so, our fall tour proceeded with many fantastic firsts. See the list below!

Our itinerary  included performances of PARABLES at assisted living facilities in Arkansas and Texas as well as THE LAST SUPPER at a church in Arkansas.

BRYAN AND SUSAN JONES
In conjunction with a performance of THE LAST SUPPER  in El Dorado AR we visited with our former ministry partners, Bryan and Susan Jones. Bryan was in a hospital recovering from a serious condition that had left him in an unresponsive state. Our schedule allowed us extra days to visit him and encourage Susan. He has now moved to rehab and is making steady steps in recovery. If you would like to send a note of encouragement, their address is:

FANTASTIC FALL FIRSTS
  • FIRST time our trailer ‘hopped’ off the hitch. But all the safety features did their job and only minor damage occurred.
  • FIRST flight each of us enjoyed with Charlotte’s brother-in-law, Gary in his neighbor’s plane in Waller TX. What a view and what fun
    .
  • FIRST performance in an airplane hangar at a fly-in community in Waller TX where Charlotte’s sister and brother in law, Sherrie and Gary, live. We had an audience of about 30 neighbors and friends
  • FIRST visit to the Houston Space Center on a day off. Awesome!
  • FIRST performance in a mall food court set up by our friend John Fracker who runs Flipp~N Burgers in the mall. He hosted our 2009 Romania trip. About 100 people watched two performances.
 
DIVINE APPOINTMENT IN THE FOOD COURT
When we performed at the food court, we met a homeless man named Joe who had just committed his life to Christ the night before. He was heading back home to Montana. He had ‘wandered’ in to the food court Sunday afternoon and shared with our friend that he had wanted to attend church this day but didn’t feel he was dressed for it. Our friend bought him a meal and told him, “You're in luck! God brought church to you!” He stayed to watch PARABLES and enjoyed a unique worship experience before he left for Montana.

After two WV performances, we leave for Florida Nov. 19 where we will be through Easter.
