Call for nominations - 2013 Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards

Dear <<First Name>>,

2012 Prime Minister's Supreme Award recipient - Dr Rhiannon Braund from the University of OtagoEach year the Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards (TTEAs) highlights an outstanding group of practitioners who have demonstrated exceptional levels of teaching ability, high levels of sustained excellence in their work and commitment to their learners.

There are unquestionably many more individuals and groups across the tertiary sector working at a similar level, and equally deserving of national recognition and we now invite nominations for the 2013 awards round.  Note that we encourage nominations from all parts of the tertiary sector and we would also remind you that there are two categories of award: one for general nominations and one for nominees who teach primarily in a Kaupapa Māori context.

If your organisation has not put anyone forward before please contact your Ako Aotearoa Regional Hub Manager about assistance through the nomination process and portfolio preparation. Members of the Ako Aotearoa Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence (all past TTEA recipients) are also on hand to assist nominees through the process.

All contact details are listed on page 7 of the 2013 Criteria and Guidelines document.

Go to: www.akoaotearoa.ac.nz/awards and click on Being nominated for an award in 2013.

Nominations close 5pm, Thursday 28th March 2013.

Warm regards and good luck!
Dr Peter Coolbear
