What we do every month to get the youth inspired!

Alternative action sports
-I2B sponsored the mini ramp to Son Surf Strand- The Rietenbos Primary School project didn't work out so we decided to move the ramps again. Over the school holiday some metal sheets were ripped off the ramps and stolen. The Cloetesville skate club had to move back to the broken down tennis courts. We are looking to fix it up and turn it into a skate park for the youth in the future. The Son Surf guys are very happy about their mini ramp. Was a tough job to move it.

We also helped them to fix it up.

-Protective gear sponsored to some kids.


-I2B Daytrip to Brakenfell, Cape Town and Campsbay.

-Fanie, Chris and Arnu Fourie talked at Porterville High School during their Jesus Week. Chris also did a demo on the rail on his rollerblades.


Athletics for people with disabilities
- Reaching Schools in Stellenbosch- Fanie and Chris, demo and talk at Stellenbosch Primary School during their "Waarde Week". Fanie also got invited to share his story at the Paul Roos event "engage" at a father and son evening. Eikestad Primary School also congratulated some of the Paralympians after the Games!

-Paralympic and Disability Awareness day with Bridging Abilities- We held a day where schools all around Western Provence came to hear some of the stories of the Paralympic Games and participated in fun activities.



-Athlone School for the blind Quire- It was amazing to support the school quire and experience how they use their singing talents to glorify God.
 
-Reaching more schools- Fanie and Anrune were invited to Hendrik Louw Primary school's Mini Olympic day and sports awards. Fanie had the honor to be quest speaker at Vesta Nova matric valedictory service and Eros prize giving.

Eros

-Parliament- The Paralympic team went to the Parliament of Cape Town where they congratulated the team and took us on a bus cruise through Cape Town.  We made a stop at the Airport to welcome the rest of the team from other provinces!

- Lennie the Shot putter- Lennie has been to several international competitions including World Champs for people with down syndrome, he has been successful in bringing back the gold medals, he stays in Kleinvlei and we are looking to get coaching for him in Stellenbosch!  

-Themba Workshop- Enrico March who is part of I2B works at the Themba Workshop in Kuilsriver where Fanie made a visit!
