A new position!!

Through much prayer and counsel, I have decided to follow God's leading to a new department within Wycliffe.

This week, I will be joining the OATS team - Orientation And Training Services.

My role as an Instructional Design Specialist will focus on designing curriculum and implementing training courses for Wycliffe's staff locally and globally.

My role will be to bridge the gap between those who are experts in certain areas and the Wycliffe who desperately desire guidance.

I'm amazed by how God has prepared me for it.

I can use both my college Education degree, as well as the 7 and a half years of serving as a consultant and trainer with Wycliffe to design and implement training programs that will best meet the needs of Wycliffe staff.

Broadening the scope of where God has placed me!

Previously, my role was focused on the front lines of South Asia.

But now, the work will actually have an impact on all of the areas where Wycliffe is working (more than 90 countries!!!).

All of the sudden, I feel closer to the front lines in many places that I never even knew existed!

This is overwhelming to me!

I am thankful that my identity is not in what I am doing, or how many countries I have been to, but in WHOM I belong to.

I belong to the God of all creation, who has invited all of us to join in living our lives for Him.

1 HOUR'S WAGES - Consider giving it to God's Work at Wycliffe!

In order to officially join the new OATS department and begin My new role here at Wycliffe, I need to be at 100% support raised.

I'm almost there!!  I currently need to raise $388.00/month.

Would you prayerfully consider joining me?

Here are some ways to get there!

10 people to give $38/month, or:

5 people to give $77/month, or:

3 people to give $100.00/month, 1 person to give $88.00/month

Or, could you donate 1 hour of your monthly wages?

For at least one hour/month, you can purposely work to promote God's work through Bible translation all around the world!

Monthly gifts are the most helpful, but please know that any gift is appreciated.

Looking Back...What is left behind...

What about One-Story?  What about the people in Pan Town, and Tea Town, and Banana Town?  What about Precious, and Manny, and Sam?  What about the Charity Team?  And Mercy Team?  What about those story teams you started training recently... what happened to them?

First, let me say that the past seven and a half years working on translating stories for people in far away lands has been a blessing and has taught me so much.  My experiences have broadened my love for God, and His people around the world.

Some of those years were the hardest, and yet the best years of my life.  I would not be who I am today without God leading me in and through each moment.

The people and the story teams I have worked with over the years remain close to my heart and in my prayers - I am still in contact with all of them to some extent.

The consulting and training work that I was deeply involved with over the past few years, has been taken on by other colleagues of mine.  It was not easy to let go, but I realize that in letting go, I have to trust God... and that is right where He wants me.  He will take care of the teams, and the unreached people groups that I have lived among, prayed with, and cried for.

I look forward to trusting Him as He continues to expand my heart for places all around the world, while I work to provide training for colleagues as they labor to make God's Word available to those who have never heard.

"Elizabeth, one thing you can be encouraged about is, that there are several thousand new Christ followers in Pan Town today, just because you came and lived here for that first year of the Storying project.  Your hard work and labour has paid such rich dividends that we have no words to express.  The same and more will one day be said of the Banana Town projects and your work among the Charity team.

" -- President of a partnering organization in South Asia

"Your hard work and labour has paid such rich dividends that we have no words to express"

Here are some of the words of encouragement from the teams I have worked with over the past several years.

I share them with you as I consider any work I have done to be only by God's grace, and through your support and prayers.

"...I learnt many thing under your guideline..." - Mercy team member

"...Sister we love you, your way of doing work, your way of coaching and consulting, and the time we elapsed in our story Project as well as in Banana Town and in R-town- it will be unforgettable." - Charity team member

"...I think how far you have come with the Charity team is wonderful, and they have learned very valuable things. The Charity story set is in good shape, and will be a good model for others. The story-tellers have been trained well. This may a be good point for them to turn towards beginning working with the other teams." - Colleague/project head coach

"...Thank you Elizabeth, for having been faithful to this project for many years. Not just your professional skills but also your personality, involvement with people's lives, your going out to eat rice in the homes of the cleaning ladies have made an impression on us all..." - Colleague

"We are really grateful for your association and contribution to the translation project in Pan Town and Banana town projects, through your leadership and guidance.  I remember meeting you at Pan Town during my first ever visit to that place. I have personally noticed your dedication and hard work.I remember the late hours you had at Pan toWN while I was staying at the orphanage with you.  I am also thankful for helping me during my stay there. I am also aware of your involvement and dedication to the Banana Town projects and thank you and thank God for you. May God reward you greatly." -- Board member of a partnering organization

"....I just want to thank you for all the work that you did for the South Asian languages especially for Charity team. You will be rewarded in heaven when the "B"  people and "D" people are well presented in heaven ( Rev 7:9). Thank you for investing time and effort to develop Sam, 'M' and 'E' (Charity team storytellers). I really appreciate your patience." - Banana Town Project Manager

"...with thanks i want to say for your lovely nature and nice leading and kind work that you have done for us." - Sam (Charity team member)

"...thanks so much for the wonderful contribution you have made to the One Story outreach over these past years. " - One-Story executive team
