 Letter From Cricklewood

Week Ending 14 December 2012

Hello Folks,

A word of appreciation from Samuel

A new telephone hotline, 0300 500 0914, and website - www.streetlink.org.uk - developed in a partnership between Homeless Link and Broadway, allows concerned members of the public to connect rough sleepers with local advice and services they may not be aware of.

We welcomed Joe Costello T.D.Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with responsibility for Trade and Development to CHC this week. Joe told us that he and the government were happy with the way CHC uses their funding to advance the lives of people in NW London.

Wonderful Customer Christmas Dinner & entertainment: Anyone wanting a top class social and musical event could do worse than approach CHC who  this week put on excellent day for customers and friends. Hampstead and Dollis Hill schools distributed presents and sang Christmas carols, a fabulous dinner was prepared by our excellent catering team and the whole day was made a success by our great team of staff and vols ably assisted by  a team of volunteers from Hands on London. With music and carols  from our home grown musicians and singers the day was a huge success with over 120 people attending.

Our choir were a huge credit as they performed at John Lewis Brent Cross this week. Rarely have I seen the shop rocking and swaying to the great sounds of our choir. Thanks to John Lewis for giving us the opportunity. Watch out for our musicians next Thursday 11.30 at John Lewis.

Best Wishes

Danny Maher
