The subject of our newer generations and our changing world snuck up on me. For the past 33 years I have been busily pursuing a deeper and clearer understanding of the near-death phenomenon, what it is, how it affects people who experience it, and the changes that result - in both adults and children. I quickly noticed in my work a similarity in altered behaviors and character traits between children who were near-death experiencers and kids who were naturally born with the same distinctive patterning. Why, I wondered, were near-death kids so much like our newest generation of children - especially those born since 1982? What I found challenges labels like indigo, crystal, starseed, rainbow, psychic, or millennium being given to our children - and - can you believe it? Now there is a pitch for golden indigos . . . as a label for older folk. . . who are "different."
The first book I wrote about this was The New Children and Near-Death Experiences. Yes, it is an in-depth investigation of children who experienced near-death states - even prebirth, during birth while in the birth canal, and as toddlers. But it is also my first attempt to explore what is happening to children worldwide and how current generations differ from those in the past. My second book on this, Beyond the Indigo Children: The New Children and the Coming of the Fifth World, is an exposé of sorts, my way of showing the utter uselessness of using the popular labels, and showing in greater detail how the human race is changing, evolution in our time.
This book transcends the other two, and tackles the subject of evolution as no one else has, naming the "Fifth Root Race" (that type of DNA now in ascendency) as the dominant global pattern. Pared down for fast, easy reading are such subjects as the various traditions of root races, the new patterning also evident in other historic times, evolutionary aspects, womb issues, growing up in a world where technology has outpaced biology, the brain, the tie between education/music/math, health issues, sex/money/drugs, entertainment, the digital age, creativity/intuition and the imaginal worlds, humanitarians, the environment, communities, terrorism, social revolution, the march of generations, a biological imperative, the Great Shifting, datelines, life as movement through a grand plan.
Some Real Shockers: The major uplifts and downturns are occurring in thirds - The Rule of Thirds, the universal measure for order/harmony. Our second homogenocene since the time of the dinosaurs has begun: the first was caused by Columbus five centuries ago; the second by Monsanto and the pressures of the digital age.
Clearly, evolution is "stacking the deck," forcing us to find ways of living beyond the struggle and crush of polarities. Our children, in league with the situation at hand, are arriving with their DNA encoded as if they were mirrors, reflecting back to us every nuisance of feeling and relationship imaginable - so we don't miss a single thing. The end of things we are now witnessing, the ultimate battle between good and evil, is an awakening to what we see in the mirrors our children provide. We have come to this - a chance to start over, to repair and rewrite history.
