Rehearsals are underway for our March production, Calendar Girls, which runs from March 12 - 16, 2013.
The 'girls' have been busy promoting and selling their calendar, raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Fundraising will continue through to the end of the show week in March and the girls will keep updating their blog - http://burtoncalendargirls.blogspot.co.uk and their Facebook Page - http://www.facebook.com/BurtonCalendarGirls so do say 'hello' there.
Calendars cost £8 and are on sale at the Calendar Club stall outside Boots in Cooper's Square Shopping Centre, or by emailing elaine@little-theatre.co.uk. Donations are also welcome at the girls' JustGiving page - http://www.justgiving.com/BurtonCalendarGirls
Thank you to everyone who came to The Brewhouse to enjoy The Sound of Music last month, It was a very special week for all the cast, backstage and front of house crew.
Congratulations to Tom Pritchard (left, top) and Wil Pearson (left, below) who are currently appearing in The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan at Derby Assembly Rooms alongside Larry Lamb and George Sampson.

Tom is playing Wendy's brother John and Wil is playing Lost Boy Slightly.

It's been an awfully big adventure (as Peter Pan would say) so far for the boys and they are loving every minute of the experience.

Unfortunately two nasty viruses have swept through the three teams of boys sharing the roles - though so far (touch wood) Tom and Will have stayed healthy. All being well they are scheduled to perform in both shows on Sun Dec 16; Wed Dec 19; Sat Dec 22; Boxing Day; Sun Dec 30; Thurs Jan 3 and the last 5pm show on Sun Jan 6. Tickets are available on the DerbyLIVE website.
An update for you on LTC's Tim Robinson who you will remember from shows including Summer Holiday, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Les Miserables School Edition (2009).
Tim graduated from Newcastle University back in July, with a 2:1 in Music, having gained a wealth of performing and conducting experience.
Alongside playing for various groups and arranging music for events, Tim is now a music instrumental teacher, working both privately and for the local music service, Staffordshire Performing Arts.
Take a look at his website for more information - www.blogtimrobinson.com
It may be the festive season, but it's busy, busy, busy at LTC where we have started rehearsals for the Easter 2013 youth production.
We are thrilled to finally have the chance to perform the classic Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
For many people this show was their first introduction to musical theatre at school or on a theatre trip and we know it remains as popular as ever today.
The show runs from April 2 to April 6, and demand for tickets is bound to be high - so get your orders in quickly to avoid disappointment.

We were thrilled when the Severn Trent Choir - featuring our own Adrian Bancroft - triumphed in the first series of The Choir - Sing While You Work run by choirmaster Gareth Malone on BBC-TV.
The works choir made the Burton Mail again recently promoting a concert they were performing at Birmingham's Elgar Hall.
Congratulations to LTC members Leon Ratcliffe and Heather Gallagher who tied the knot in Scarborough on December 1.
Leon joined the company as a child - back in 1989 - appearing first in On Golden Pond.
Heather joined in 2007 - and My Fair Lady was her first LTC show.
We wish the happy couple every joy.
Break-a-leg to LTC Youth's Dom White and Georga Ratcliffe who are appearing as Fagin and Nancy in Oliver! in January at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you, your families and friends a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The next newsletter will be out in February 2013. If you have any news for it, please email elaine@little-theatre.co.uk.
