CAS Trust Member Update - to all Full and Subscriber Members, and CAFC stake holders

Welcome to our first Trust Bulletin using our new system.

First of all, thank you and welcome to all our new Full Adult and Junior Members, and our Subscribers and Followers/Likers.

Your magnificent early support of the Trust particularly those who have taken the plunge and become full members, is much appreciated and will be vital to help us grow and become successful. The more we can demonstrate a committed membership the more positively we will be received.

News and Activities

Phase I - Target 500 membership drive, now complete: Network exceeds 1200 Addicks!

Beginning roughly at our re-endorsement meeting back in September, we set various targets to achieve in terms of building our network of subscribers and followers/likers on social networks, of 500 or more. We have in fact exceeded that target by quite some margin. Our total is now around the 1200 mark, with some 158 early birds now signed up as full members. This leaves 371 Subscribers, and many, many more following us on our Twitter and Facebook channels,

This stage was vital in building awareness that the trust was forming, and also meant that our launch was a great success. Combined with a 20 years back to the Valley event, it all went very well, thanks to the many fans and former players that helped out.

Trust Incorporation Complete

Another major achievement which happily coincided with our launch, was our incorporation as a Community Provident Society.

With all our infrastructure now in place, the only thing that remains at this stage is to have a succesful AGM, while continuing to listen to fans and continue to build our network.

This will be achieve by surveying the Addick in the street, via our in person and later online survey; and results can be seen in the first edition of CAS Trust news which is available on our website, and will be for future editions (for members).

Phase II - Target 2000 membership drive to AGM

We aim to double our network before we reach AGM time. This will allow us to have a strong Trust, with a more representative Board going forward.

We hope to achieve this by a number of methods including reaching out to the fan base through supporters groups, surveys, and our own networks.
  • Survey #2 will hit the streets this Saturday (26th January) so look out for that - we hope to find out more from fans as well as inform them about what a Trust does.

  • The 2nd edition of CAS Trust News will be available late February early March to help communicate our research and generate ideas and interest

Trust Activities

As mentioned we will be continuing our membership drive, and other areas we can start work on at this stage

We have begun some important Trust work recently:

  • Further development our website to meet our needs, and those of our Members and Affiliates.
