Email Conversation List
The adoption of the forums has been lacking as a communication method. So I have been trying to come up with other ways that the crew can talk with each other more about crew related stuff. So I thought about making an email conversation list. In this list when you get a message you can reply and it goes to everybody.

Galaxy Fest
Galaxy Fest is just 51 days away! Here is what we have planned so far.
Here are the times for Galaxy Fest:
Friday 8 Feb @ 0930 - Setup the fan table
Friday 8 Feb @ 1100 - Doors open - Vendor Access: 11a-12noon VIP 12-1 Public 1-9
Saturday 9 Feb - Vendor Access: 9-10am VIP 10-11a Public 12-8pm
Sunday 10 Feb - Vendor Access: 9-10am VIP 10-11a Public 12-7pm
We need to have 2 people at the fan table from when the doors open for Vendor Access until it closes. This way we can accomodate people going to the restroom or grabbing a bite to eat.
Working the fan table means that you will be at the fan table to advertise our chapter and direct interested parties to sign up for our mailing list.
We will be ordering the banner that we will be using in the next week so we should get it in the mail in time to inspect it before the convention.
Also we are being asked to setup some panels for the convention, but we have to come up with the ideas ourselves. Got any ideas? Head on over to the forums so we can discuss it. http://usszebulonpike.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=33
Marine Strike Group?
The STARFLEET Marines Brigade commander has emailed me asking if anybody wants to start up a Marine Strike group in our chapter. If you are interested email me and I will get you in contact with the Brigade Commander.
Crew Uniforms

It looks like the DS9 uniforms will be the official uniform of choice for our crew.
Second Officer Wanted
We are doing a decent job of getting crew positions assigned to people, but we still would like a second officer if anybody is willing. The SO's job is to help out with the overal running of the chapter. He or she will be the stand in for the XO or CO if needed.
Requirements: Be a member of STARFLEET, Pass OTS and OCC at the Academy

Commissioning Ceremony Planning
We need to start planning our commissioning ceremony for when we officially become a STARFLEET chapter. This will likely happen in August or September if all goes well.
The annual International Conference (IC) is taking place August 1-4 this year in Dallas Texas. I think it would be awesome if we could get some crew members to attend this together. It sounds like these things are usually pretty fun for those who go, and it helps us to meet everyone else who is involved in STARFLEET. Is anybody interested in possibly going if we can work out all of the logistics? Also, we may be able to tie this in with our commissioning ceremony since they both take place around the same time.
It would be great if we could start coming up with some community service ideas. If anybody has any ideas of things we can do around March or April then it would be great to get the planning started now.
