Happy holidays!

Dear friends and supporters,

As we prepare to usher in a new year at AIC, we have some very exciting news to share with you all: thanks to your support, AIC is going to be able to continue to provide educational opportunities and community services in Pune, India.  As you may remember, we set an end-of-year goal of raising $30,000 as an absolute minimum to be able to keep our doors open in 2013.  We are thrilled to announce that we far surpassed that goal thanks to your astounding generosity.  Supporters like you have actually contributed over $80,000 since October, resulting in an additional $80,000 more to AIC by allowing us to take full advantage of the generous 2012 matching funds gift!

We have been truly overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of support for our children, communities and organization in response to our call to action.  Because of you, instead of starting to close down our programs on January 1st, we will begin the new year blessed with a renewed sense of purpose and the support to carry on our work.

Thank you for giving us so much to be thankful for this year.  Here's to a promising 2013 of continuing to change lives together!

With gratitude and warm wishes from all of us,
The AIC family

New Team Members
We're very excited to introduce you to our new Education Program Director, Mrs. Bunty Pai, and our On-site Programs Administrator, Manali Kulkarni, both of whom joined our organization this month.  To learn more about why we're so excited to welcome these new members to our on-site team in Pune, check out the AIC blog!
Sponsor Us!
A big thank you to Ms. Birgit Lumerding and the 3C class of BRG Rohrbach for signing up to be our newest child sponsors.  We still have many children (including Lucky, Rohit and several others featured on the blog) in need of sponsorship!  Help get 2013 off to a great start by supporting one of our hardworking children with the gift of child sponsorship.
Celebrating the Holidays
This month, our children attended the annual AIC Holiday party, which featured dance performances, a gift for each child and even an opportunity to meet Santa Claus!  We are grateful to Nandu and Sabir, the AIC teachers and staff and, most of all, to the Duncan family, Melanie Armer, Rose Smith, the Harshberger family, Sue Dunne and the Expat Wives of Pune for organizing a wonderful party!
