Tirgan’s Honorary Chair

We are thrilled to inform you that the world’s first self-funded female space tourist, Anousheh Ansari, has accepted to be the Honorary Chair of Tirgan 2013 and will be in Toronto during the days of the festival. In 2011 we had the honour of having Dr. Reza Moridi, Member of Ontario’s Provincial Parliament as Tirgan’s Honorary Chair. Capturing headlines around the world as the first female private space explorer in 2006, Anousheh also earned a place in history as the fourth private explorer to visit space and the first astronaut of Iranian descent.
