I hope your holidays were filled with joy and peace.
I couldn't bear to add to the onslaught of emails coming in last month, so I didn't. But here we are in January, and they'd take away my coaching card if I didn't bring up
New Year's Resolutions.
I never set resolutions because (for me) they carry a connotation of goals we think we
should set that are meant to be broken. That said, I love starting the new year with a plan and a new outlook.
Some resolution alternatives:
-
Choose a word or theme for the year (like Ali Edward's "One Little Word" approach)
-
Take on a short-term challenge to get motivated
-
Set long-term goals goals, then break them down into manageable steps
Good goal-setting is harder than you'd think.
It's the first thing I do with new clients and often they have wonderful ideas, but they're not setting themselves up for success. (Of course, that's why they work with me: so we can discover and implement strategies that
do work!)
If your goal is "
get healthy," that's great. But what does that
mean?
For some people it's diet-related. Others want to start exercising, quit smoking, or run a marathon. If you don't know where you're going, it's hard to get there.
I'd love to know what you're working toward this year.
Have 2 minutes? (Seriously.)
Take this survey. It's 3 questions long.
Still not clear on your new year? That's OK! I've set up a whole
FREE one-hour teleclass on the topic.
This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, this is an interactive class (just dial in from anywhere!) with worksheets to walk you through, step-by-step, and discover strategies to succeed in 2013.
Join me this Monday, January 7th at 5:30pm Pacific/8:30pm Eastern - call in from wherever you are!
Can't make it live? That's ok. You miss out on the live questions, but you can still get the recording.
Also,
everyone who registers gets a personal follow-up email to help keep you accountable and on track. No obligation, just sign on up.
I'd love to support you to have a great year, Sunshine!
P.S. tl;dr version: Take this 3-question survey.
