Newsletter 7 February 2013
We have two great winners of our student essay competitions that are well worth a read. Why not take a quick break and see what you can learn?

Architecture

The winner of our student architect competition is The History of the Architect as a Profession by Rob Pollard. Rob's essay is a well-researched and informative essay that sheds light on the role of the architect and how it has developed over the years. You can also read the five brain-stretching runners-up by clicking here. They cover everything from 'living in the hyper-real city' to 'living facades'.

Engineering

The winner of our student engineer competition is Geothermal Pile Foundations by Rachel Ribeiro. Rachel’s essay is so comprehensive we've started two spin-off articles; Geothermal Energy and Pile Foundations. And you can see the engineering runners-up by clicking here.

Everything you could possibly want to know ... and maybe a bit more.
