January's C3 Athlete & Staff Winners!
SSCV's core C3 values are Character, Courage & Commitment.
Athlete Winner: Ryan Wachendorfer
Ryan had an outstanding camp in New Zealand. He was a great leader, stayed on top of his homework, and progressed in his riding. This only continued when back in Vail. He has been helping other athletes learn new tricks, had excellent fitness test results, has been helping his fellow teammates with homework, and continues to lead from the front. It's tough as a 16-year-old not to succumb to peer pressure, but Ryan truly walks to the beat of his own drum. He is focused, dedicated, and a fantastic example to ALL athletes as well as students. We can't think of anyone who deserves the honor more.
Staff Winner: Brian Eggleton
Brian's commitment to delivering the most excellent service possible to our membership is commendable. He routinely works late or makes special exceptions to his schedule to make sure everyone is well taken care of. His incredible wealth of knowledge is appreciated, but we see that he's much more than that to our staff and the families at SSCV. His kindness, warm smile, and laid-back demeanor makes kids feel welcome and we know that the parents put great trust in his abilities. We've had "boot guys", although he's so much more than that to us now, in the past that haven't worked out. From the staff prospective, Brian communicates well and it's so helpful that he goes the extra mile to create electronic versions of data from every boot analysis appointment. This guy really cares about the safety, happiness, and success of our athletes. Brian is simply indispensable to SSCV and deserves every piece of recognition and appreciation we have to offer.
Thank you to our generous Capital Campaign Donors!
From time to time, SSCV introduces Capital Campaigns to raise funds for specific projects. Over the past year we have completed the Acrobatic Center at VSSA and we are nearly finished with our effort to fund the 22' halfpipe cutter. Additionally, many donors have fulfilled their pledges to support our Human Performance Center, Early Season Training Venue, and Maloit Park Nordic Trails Expansion. Thank you to the following donors who have pledged or contributed funds to our Capital Campaign efforts this 2012-13 season:
