Three weeks ago, StartUp Health and GE announced an exciting three-year Entrepreneurship Program to provide expertise, resources, and growth opportunities for health startups. We are seeking startups within a broad spectrum of consumer health innovation that may include:
  • Big data & analytics
  • Biotechnology
  • Chronic disease management
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Healthcare cost management & reduction
  • Healthcare delivery & point-of-care solutions
  • Healthy aging
  • Home based services & solutions
  • Patient-provider engagement tools
  • Personalized / precision medicine
  • Sensor & tracking
Select companies will be invited to participate in the Program, which will include a customized growth curriculum, access to GE's executives, training on scaling business operations, a GE leadership mentor for each company, and exposure to GE technology experts. Additionally, the Program will offer a virtual commercial laboratory, where GE healthymagination and StartUp Health will create ongoing opportunities for partnerships, customer development, and pilot programs to test innovative products and business models.

StartUp Health Partners with NYCEDC & Health 2.0 on PILOT Health Tech NYC

StartUp Health is excited to partner on a new healthcare technology initiative launched by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the Bloomberg Administration, and Health 2.0 that is designed to spur innovation, business growth, and entrepreneurship in the New York City healthcare technology sector. The PILOT Health Tech NYC program provides funding of up to $100,000 each to 10 innovative pilot projects annually to take place in New York City. Requests for matchmaking sessions must be submitted by February 10, 2013 and pilot proposals are due May 27, 2013. For more information, please visit the website and read the press release.
