~ Where Children Learn to Love Books ~
January has been a full first month for Bookworm.
The organisation has pushed the boundaries of spaces and places and contexts for books even harder. We are proud of the team that is evolving at Bookworm - strong, committed and focused on what matters most - ensuring that children learn to love books ! In this month we have participated in a school fair in Mormugao Taluka and it reminds the team that we have miles to go before we sleep. The Library repository has grown even more with further book purchases and we are starting an online book review section to share book reflections as we worm our way through all of them.
The Mobile Outreach project continues to struggle for a solid team of resource persons but the response to literature and the growth in literacy skills make us determined to find a core team for this program. Schools that partner with the School Book Treasury learn in many ways and Krystal took her flock to a center for Arts to learn with an Artist. All in all, another full Bookworm month, some of which we share here. Forever, thank you for supporting us.

// Bookworm's Burrow at Shishumela, Mormugao
All excited about taking Bookworm on its first book fair to a school in Mormugao had us on the road at 7 in the morning.
We were there by 7:45 A.M. and had set up by 8:15 or so. Children, some with parents and some with teachers started trickling in. Some just glanced as they passed, some stopped to look and some; well, walked on. We kept telling people that the books were up for sale and they could come by after the programme.
