Those of you following the Venus Star cycle know that we have been in a Morning Star phase since the June 6, 2012 Transit of Venus across the Sun. This occurred in the sign of the twins, Gemini, and carries with it a strong relationship with Mercury, ruler of that sign. The Gemini Star Point as the Heart of the Star of Venus comes forth through our planet residing closest to the Sun - Mercury - god of travel, commerce and communication. Because of its dual nature in Gemini, these messages are seeping through the boundaries of conscious and unconscious realms.  and through messages to and from . This has resulted in many people feeling the strong urge to feel suddenly moved to engage in revealing thoughts, ideas, secrets and stories that are truly transformational and life-changing for both the person who delivers the message and the person who receives it. In many cases, things are revealed that are kept secret for years, reflecting the duality inherent in Gemini that in some cases results in living one way and acting another. 


HOROSCOPE OF LANCE ARMSTRONG - NOON - SEPTEMBER 18, 1971, PLANO, TEXAS
We have seen this duality in play just recently in the revelations of Lance Armstrong who is the perfect Gemini or Mercury archetype. I’ve always seen those fit, trim cyclists, with their helmets and uniforms, as the perfect picture of Mercury with winged helmet and sandals, seemingly flying through the air with ease. Born under the sign of Virgo with five planets gracing that sign (Mercury-ruled), his Venus Star Point is also in Virgo. Note: September 18, 2012, his most recent birthday, was the date of the 2nd Drumbeat of Change (see Issue #14) delivering a walloping and shocking transformation regarding Lance's personal identity, leadership and character in a very personal way. 

From the book, Venus Star Rising, we learn that Virgo Star Point people must reconcile the physical-mental duality as well as focus on large issues around health and personal healing in their lives. Armstrong conquered cancer, went on to win seven Tour de France trophies, headed up a foundation dealing with health and recovery – seemingly the perfect Virgo Star candidate. Now, in the Mercury-ruled Gemini Star cycle (squares Virgo and more specifically squares his Moon), Lance comes clean and reveals the illegality of the deception and lies that built his empire. The shadow side of Mercury is the trickster, liar and thief. Did he lie? Did he cheat? He claims he wouldn’t call it cheating, which is to gain an unfair advantage over the competition. Simply, he was leveling the playing field, implying that so many other were doping that it would be nearly impossible to win a race without doing it. Scary, he said. So cleverly worded, as his Mercury-ruled planets and Star Point indicate, but also so like the current trend in our culture, amplified by the current Gemini Star Point. Who, then, can we trust? More than that, my friends, the case of Lance Armstrong's confessions and how it will reverberate through the entire world of sports and professional athletes is just the beginning - the tip of the iceberg - of this still fresh, new transit of Neptune in Pisces. We have 13 more years of it!

MARCH 28, 2013: VENUS STAR POINT SHIFTS FROM GEMINI MS TO ARIES ES
This event is better viewed through the lens of the horoscope rather than talked about. It is shaping up to be a dramatic and tense time for the world, with five planets in the firey sign of Aries. As we observe from the chart, The Venus/Sun conjunction at 8 Aries (the new Venus Star Point) falls on the same degree as Uranus, very close to Mars in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. The four points situated at 8 Aries (9th degree) are on the Sabian Symbol of: A Crystal Ball. I believe this symbolizes a moment in our personal lives and perhaps even in the world, where we are able to grasp a glimpse of the future by what events unfold at this particular time. It may offer hope for the future - taking a leap into a new era as implied by the self-starting, pioneering and adventuresome energy of Aries - or - if the less attractive side of all these Aries planets including Mars square Pluto in Capricorn imposing itself upon the world, we may be looking at aggressive and hostile posturing by people who feel they have the "right" to bully others.
