Do I have to pay taxes on the items I sell on Ebay? I am not a tax adviser and laws vary from state to state and you will need to consult your accountant. This answer is just given to help point you in the right direction.... If this a hobby or business for you? Do have over 200 purchases or payments over $20,000 going through your eBay and Paypal account? If the answer is yes, then you will be getting a 1099 misc from and or a 1099 K from Paypal and eBay. Be sure to start saving those receipts this year for next years taxes .
What kind of things can I deduct on my taxes if I have an Ebay business? Just like any home business you may be able to claim use of home, deduct business travel, office supplies, computer equipment, Educational eBay classes, books,, business use of personal vehicles, advertising costs, taxes paid, office expenses, legal fees, eBay fees, Paypal fees, shipping supply costs and postage costs

New Announcement: E bay has a new logo
I Will Not Be At The Next Arm Wrestling Championship
Wanted to take a moment to thank those who have written, called and asked me about how my arm was healing. For those of you who may not have know I tore some ligaments and tendons in my right arm while moving a heavy estate piece of furniture in November. Although I will NOT be at the next arm wrestling championship and still have to watch what I lift my arm is improving. I have been able to resume estate sales but will lift moving furniture up to my wonderful assistants!
