100% Proceeds to Benefit Swamp Rabbit Trail, May 12

I'm so excited that the Swamp Rabbit trail system will be completed on May 7. As of then, we can bike/walk/skip the 13 miles to downtown Greenville with minimal road crossings and a smooth surface. Congrats to the Greenville Hospital System and the Greenville County Rec Department on this ambitious project!

To help celebrate the grand opening, Call Brady, Computer Services will donate 100% of all proceeds from May 12 to the Swamp Rabbit project. If you need computer repair, training, or remote support services, please request a May 12 service date and your full charge will be donated. I will be giving priority on this day to Greenville and Travelers Rest clients.

Free Online Fax Service

Like many individuals and businesses, I rarely have the need to send Faxes anymore. E-mail and attachments serve 98% of my needs in that arena. Once in a great while, however, I will receive a request to fax an invoice, yet I don't have a fax machine.

FaxZero to the rescue. FaxZero allows you to enter your information and your recipients information, and then upload a file attachment (Word, PDF, etc.). Hit send, confirm, and your fax is on its way to the fax machine you specify.

There are some limitations: you can only send 2 faxes each day, and they are limited to 3 pages each. Perfect for light faxing, such as invoices. They even send you a confirmation E-mail once your pages are sent. Try them out today at www.FaxZero.com.

New Site by 1Site1Day Offers Great Gift for Kids, Professionals

I always have a great time building 1Site1Day projects, but there was something special about Work and Play.

WorkAndPlayTradingCards.com is a new project from Jeremy Richardson. WorkAndPlay makes custom trading cards (think about the baseball cards you collected as a kid) for anyone. I think this project is a lot of fun, and would make a great gift. Imagine a personalized baseball card for your child, or a swim team card. Sports cards just scratch the surface!

A fire department could have custom cards for their firemen to hand out to kids. Nurses could leave a card for patients so they have a visual reminder of who is helping them. Use a "Keep In Touch" card to ease the transition when a child moves to a new city. The possibilities are endless.

Be sure to check out the new site at www.WorkAndPlayTradingCards.com.

Antivirus, Backup, and Speed. These 3 categories account for most of my service calls. Now I'm offering the tools that can help you with all 3.

  • Norton Internet Security 2010 is the top rated home antivirus product on the market today. One copy will cover up to 3 computers. It will not slow your computer like previous versions of the application did, and it will keep you safe from the majority of the malware out there. Purchase today at Norton.com.
  • Carbonite is the no-brainer backup solution to protect all your important documents and pictures. When you connect to the Internet it backs up all of your files that have changed. Computer crash? Get your new computer, load Carbonite, attach to the Internet, and download your files. It really is that easy. Learn more at Carbonite.com.
  • Crucial is my favorite memory provider on the market. Memory is what determines how many applications you can run at the same time without slowing your system down. Have an older XP system? I recommend at least 1.5-2GB of memory for the average user. Have Windows 7? Go for 4GB. Scan your system and order your new memory from Crucial.com. Call me if you need help installing it (I do recommend that you have a technician perform this step).
