We wormed our way into the Carnival festivities at the Garcia de Orta garden, urging children to think of messages on kites, balloons, book marks and what not as we merged literacy with creativity. The 3rd of February at SAG grounds, Campal was a day filled with colour, excitement, people , music, food .and ofcourse great shopping bargains!! This Tuesday had Sujata, Shaira sporting a camera and me driving down to Margao. Our first stop as always is at a school in Nuvem called Mae dos Pobres. The kids came as promised, took responsibility for their stalls and began to lay out their wares. Then the crowds came.
