Annette Jennings: Life as a Recent Amputee

Pfashionthropic: Experience a new way to shop and donate to your favorite charity

Cynthia Hamilton is a fundraising professional who loves engaging with people who work, volunteer or donate to make our community a better place.  She also loves fashion but hates shopping because she has trouble finding clothes that fit.  So, Cynthia decided to start a company that pulls fashion and the philanthropic spirit together with Pfashionthropic.

On Saturday, March 2nd from 8am - 8pm, Pfashionthropic will host an Upscale Resale Show to benefit Community Leadership Institute.  25% of each sale will be donated to help fund training supplies, service projects and a graduation ceremony for mena dn women committeed to imporvidng our community.  Click here to download a flyer.

Fiesta Especial: 2nd Annual Fiesta Especial Royal Court Meet & Greet
Saturday, March 23rd | 5:00pm - 9:00pm | Mi Casa Tamales

Fiesta Especial® became an official Fiesta® event in 2006 and was created for children and adults with disabilities.  Fiesta Especial® is about creating opportunities for children and adults with disabilities of all types to experience the celebration of our city’s heritage through Fiesta®.  It’s about including individuals with disabilities in a way that will accommodate their needs and celebrate their contributions to our community.

In 2012, we added on a very special component to gaining awareness for individuals with disabilities and their contributions to our community through the creation of the Fiesta Especial® Royal Court.  Now in our 2nd year, we’d love to have you attend our 2nd Annual Meet & Greet and get to know some of these amazing individuals!  Together, the 2013 Fiesta Especial® Royal Court raised $16,600 for programs and services to benefit children and adults with disabilities in our community.   Please feel free to visit http://www.fiestaespecial.com/2013-royal-court.html to learn more about our court.

Texas Medicaid Matters:  March and Rally to Support Medicaid in Texas
