2013 Taking Shape for the ENM Chamber
The ENM Chamber board is actively planning several events for 2013 that we hope you'll want to attend. As a business community and residents, we need to be engaged with our local government and schools, so we'll be working with the City of Elko New Market to bring you a series of "State of" addresses. The first will be the State of the City address in April. Later in the year, we'll hear about the Lakeville and New Prague schools, Scott County , and from our state legislators. Interspersed among those events with be After-Hours or Morning Coffee and Conversation networking sessions (March 12 at Village Market Apartments), and workshops on topics, such as Obamacare (June 12), to help you manage your business. Appointed ambassador: We're seeking individuals who may be interested in being appointed an ambassador to the Chamber board. This ambassador will be a board member for one year and will contribute to the direction, events and growth of the Chamber. Attendance at board meetings on the second Wednesday of every month is expected. New Prague Superintendent Candidate Open Forums
Community members are invited to three open forums to hear from candidates vying for the New Prague Superintendent position.

I-35 Road Construction Coming This Summer
Interstates 35 and 35E between Elko New Market and Eagan will be resurfaced this summer, resulting in lane closures and detours as work is completed. Additionally, southbound I-35E between County Road 42 and the split will be closed for up to 30 days as the bridge is re-decked.
