LOVE Maison Baguès

Maison Baguès, a name most certainly recognized by designers, symbolizes elegance and sophistication!    Noël Baguès  founded Maison Bagues in 1840.  Forty years later, with electricity coming into homes and businesses, his son, Eugène Baguès, had the foresight to begin producing light fixtures and expanded the  business into chandeliers and sconces as well as stair banisters and gates.

After the Great Depression,  Jean-Pierre Baguès in 1957 brought the company back from bankruptcy and expanded the collection.   When The Palace of Versailles was fully electrified Maison Baguès was commissioned to supply lighting fixtures for Marie-Antoinette’s bedroom and The King’s game room.
