Faiths Against Hate is our new campaign to address the rising tide of violence against religious minorities in the United States.
Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions
The Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions is pleased to announce a matching gift opportunity.

A generous major donor is offering to provide a twelve-month matching grant up to $50,000 for An Interfaith Campaign to Stop Hate through Neighborly Relations, Dialogue and Engagements around Sacred Spaces.

The matching dollars are available immediately and will be disbursed as contributions are received over a period of one year ending December 31, 2013.

Every renewed gift to the Parliament of the World’s Religions for this campaign will be matched dollar for dollar.  New gifts will be matched times two …  tripling the donation amount of every first time donor.

This timely campaign was launched in response to a rising tide of violence against specific religious and minority groups. Statistics support increasing intolerance:

    •    The number of active hate groups in the US topped 1,000 for the first time (SPLC)
    •    The number of armed militias have doubled (Time)
    •    2.5 million more Americans bought guns for the first time last year (FBI)
    •    President Obama is receiving 400% more death threats than previous President Bush did in both terms (Secret Service)

With your help, The Council for A Parliament of the World’s Religions can serve an ever-widening audience to achieve these results:

    •    Workshops delivered within Sacred Spaces in up to 10 cities throughout the US
    •    Webinars about transforming hate into peace presented by authoritative leaders
    •    Creation and widespread distribution of brochures, videos and an extensive social media campaign strategically targeted to invest an enormous and diverse demographic in ending hate
    •    100,000 persons to sign an online interfaith “Pledge of Respect” as a personal commitment

Please act today to take advantage of this match opportunity! Help us leverage your contribution and offer the world meaningful alternatives to hate and violence.
Thank you.
