Futsal!
Several of our students (and two faculty members) this winter formed a “Futsal” team, representing Biblijski institut. Futsal is indoor soccer, played in a gymnasium. The team was led by student Filip Grujić, and spnsored by staff and faculty member Ivan Karadža. They competed in a Zagreb inter-university league. Most of the other teams in the league represented much larger schools and have been playing together as teams much longer than our students. As a result, our team experienced more losses than victories. However, through it all, they displayed great sportsmanship, and were a witness for Christ in the way they played together, supported each other, and prayed together before games. This was also a great boost for the spirit of unity and fellowship among our students, faculty, and staff. To celebrate the end of the season, a match was organized between the student Futsal team and faculty. Afterwards everyone went out for pizza together. We are all proud of these men for wanting to do something like this together, as well as for representing us and Christ's kingdom well. Way to go guys!
