CCTV Broadcast Schedule
SCC programs can be seen on CCTV, Comcast Cable Channel 21, for two weeks starting the Wednesday after the meeting on Wednesdays at 4pm, Thursdays at 4:30pm, Fridays at 7pm, and Saturdays at 1pm.

The Minto Pedestrian and
Bicycle Bridge:
Linking Water Ways, Parks, Trails and Urban Vitality

 Imagine this: A graceful pedestrian and bicycle bridge linking Minto Brown Park to Riverfront Park and Wallace Marine Park, resulting in a combined park system larger than New York City's Central Park. Three urban parks and twenty miles of trails would be easily accessible from downtown Salem. That vision is close to becoming reality.
Since 2009, the City of Salem, Salem’s Urban Renewal Agency, and the Friends of Two Bridges, a citizen’s advocacy group, have been working toward this long-standing community vision.
Part of this goal was realized in 2009 with the renovation of the historic Union Street Railroad Bridge, which now connects West Salem’s Wallace Marine Park with downtown’s Riverfront Park. Completion of the Minto Island Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and adjoining multimodal trail is the last critical link. Three talented and dedicated speakers will provide further insight and knowledge of this project.
Annie Gorski is a Project Manager for the City of  Salem Urban
Development Department. In her role as project manager she has overseen infrastructure and development projects in several of the City’s urban renewal areas, including supporting job creation and economic development. Prior to coming to the City Ms. Gorski managed brownfields redevelopment projects for a New England- based private developer. She has a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from University of Kansas and an M.A. in Community Development and Planning from Clark University.
 Linda Norris, Salem’s City Manager, was appointed in June 2008. Her public career began in Colorado and took her to the City of Eugene in 1988 where she worked as a department director and assistant city manager. She worked for an international semiconductor manufacturer and owned a business before being hired by Salem in 2004. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and completed course work for an executive Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver before moving to Oregon.
Hazel Patton is President of the Friends of Two Bridges, a grassroots organization that has advocated for the Union Street Bridge and the Minto Bridge since 2009. She serves as President of the Oregon State Hospital Museum of Mental Health, and is one of five members who successfully nominated the Oregon State Hospital to the National Register of Historic Places. Hazel is a board member of the Walton Hospitality House. She is the founder of Salem’s Riverfront Carousel, and co-founder of Movies in the Park.
