Liverpool University Mission Report

Dear <<First Name>>,

A few weeks ago I went to Liverpool with a team from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. It was a really special time and a privilege to be back on mission again with OCCA.

We put on a variety of talks throughout the week with up to 250 students attending some events. I was invited to present a couple of talks on Can I Trust the Bible? and Love - two huge topics. It was great to set forth the overwhelming evidence in support for the authority of Scripture and see a good number of non-Christians challenged as well as Christian students strengthened in their faith.

In the second talk I was able to look at how we search for love and meaning in the world, but how it is who God truly satisfies our deepest desires. It found the talk to be a challenge but saw a very positive response from it.

They are an excellent bunch and it's a real encouragement that so many talented and called evangelists are receiving excellent equipping to be able to boldly proclaim Jesus all over the world and in many different spheres!

God's grace was evident in abundance over the week. We saw over 20 students became Christians and many more are involved in follow-up courses. Please pray for these young Christians!

In Other News ...

Latimers OxfordLatimers Oxford, which we launched in September last year continues to go well. We have been meeting in the city centre every week, hosting talks to introduce people to Jesus and challenge them to wrestle with their beliefs.

We have an exciting few months ahead of us as we are hosting apologetics talks - hopefully enjoying the warmth and sun of a Spring/Summer Oxford!

I had a great time at MENUNITED in Bath. This Saturday group of businessmen from the city get together to hear a talk every month. I spoke on Jesus In A Broken World - looking at the problem of pain and suffering and the Christian response. I had some great conversations afterwards and enjoyed my time. It was also fantastic to be back in my home town and doing apologetics!

Coming Up

I'm heading to Latvia in April to present apologetics talks at a conference. The weekend-conference sees many Christian and non-Christian delegates attend. My goal is again to present Jesus clearly, that the Christian may be strengthened in their faith and the non-Christian may see true Hope for the first time.

It will be also a special trip as I'll be working alongside leaders from my church family in Maui. It is a wonder how relationships which have formed over years and across the continents can be the foundation to building teams to serve God together. Exciting times!

I look forward to sharing feedback from my time next month.

Until then friends, it's onwards and upwards in Christ.
