Club Person of the Month
This month Feb 2013, Russ Aikenhead has been voted our Club Person of the Month. Russ is not only acting as Club 1st XV Captain whilst Joe Tobin recovers from his injury but is the 1st XV Number 9 (Scrum Half). When not playing with the 1st or training 2 nights a week he can be found Coaching our very own U15’s side along with Lead Coach Simon Godin and fellow assistant Coach Kevin Davis.

Eastbourne 1st XV Award to a Dedicated Helper
Mal Chumbley (ERFC DoR) awards Eastbourne 1st XV dedicated helper Tom Snell.
As we approach the last leg of a successful Season for Eastbourne’s 1st XV, Mal Chumbley joined a large number of Eastbourne Supporters, Patrons, Ex-players, Wives and Partners of Players at our annual Valentines pre-match lunch to make an award on behalf of the team.

Eastbourne RFC Quiz Champions
Friday 1st March 2013 Eastbourne Rugby crown our new Quiz Champions. This went to Team 'CRB Checked' consisting of Mike Chapman (Junior Chairman), Colin Dowle (U13's Coach), Russ and Sam Aikenhead (Russ 1st XV Scrum Half and U15's Coach) who as each round completed ran away with the lead.

Congratulations to ERFC Coaches who Pass their Entry Level Referees Course (ELRA).
More Coaches dedicate their spare time to continue to develop and grow passing their ELRA Ref's Course, hosted at Eastbourne Rugby Club. This course spans over four evenings and included both indoor and outdoor training sessions.

Emily Hird, former player for Eastbourne Under 12's makes her debut for Kent U15's.
Emily Hird's first County game for Kent County RFUC under 15's against Surrey RFUC on 28th October 2012.
Emily started on the bench for her first game but within 4 minutes into the game, due to injury she took over the position of hooker.
