RE: Festival Fireworks & You're Invited this Tuesday!

The Deans rocked the Charleston Food and Wine Festival! A good time was had by all.
We weren’t asked to speak just once because our message is so mighty and vital to one’s
being that twice was the minimum the Festival asked of us. We got the impression that given
their preference, they would have kept us there all weekend. Cocktailing was the topic
of the day on Friday and Brunching was covered Sunday. Old Fashioned’s and Bloody Mary’s
were paired with cheesy delights, while the Deans wit and sparkle entertained and delighted all
present. Our audience sat  slack jawed with awe as we poured forth our inestimable wisdom.

Do we need to say it? Home run!!

The Deans Charleston Food + Wine Festival Recipes
When anticipating a thirsty hoard, the Deans find that pre-making Old Fashioned’s in batches
saves time. We save the dashing for bitters to the end to provide a loving touch, but otherwise
the work is complete. Click here for the Deans recipes for the following:

An Onslaught of Old Fashioned’s
A Bevy of Bloodies
A Treasure Trove of Cheese Coins
Spicy Bar Nuts

The Lee Brothers Charleston Kitchen

Matt Lee and Ted Lee’s latest cookbook has just hit the shelves. We are in rapture. This book has so riveted our attention that we can’t help it; we find ourselves trying recipes from their book instead of testing ones for our own. We are thrilled to tell you their recipes are all fabulous. Go into your kitchen tonight, and while sipping on the ‘Hugo’, toast up some shrimp popovers and no matter where in the country you are, when you close your eyes you will feel like you are in Charleston.

A Private Dinner with the Dean's

The Deans reached back to the past and thrust forward into the future. We concocted a fish mousse from the venerable Julia Child’s The Way to Cook, we roasted three chickens to golden perfection, we sautéed a rainbow of heirloom carrots with ginger and paired them with emerald green spinach and finished the night with a bourbon, coconut custard pie. We cooked, we cleaned, we served, we toted, we polished; there is nothing we did not do and we were even wore cocktail dresses to boot! After dinner the hostess had procured a cigar maker to hand roll cigars. There is a reason why that night’s hostess is one of Charleston’s most esteemed. She goes straight to the top for all her help and is creative and sassy in her own right.

The Deans

The Deans know that houses like to be lived in and they are going to show you how to live in yours, whether a cottage, condo or castle. Not only will you learn how to cook, you will learn how to connect to your home.
The Deans help people realize the value and meaning of home life.
