Weed Dating!
Join us on Friday, June 28th from 6-8pm for Denver's inaugural "Weed Dating" event at the DGS Community Farm! Weed Dating is like Speed Dating, only instead of talking to someone for 5 minutes sitting at a table, you do it while weeding a row of veggies on the farm! This is sure to be a fun way to meet new people who are interested in sustainable urban food production, and help out on the farm at the same time! Hope to see you there!

Mark your Calendars for Sprout to Spoon!
Sunday, September 9th, 2013 will see the return of our wildly successful dinner on the farm from 4-7.30pm. Enjoy finger food and farm tours, then sit down to a 4-course meal prepared by local chefs using our farm-fresh produce, followed by a dessert hour. Details forthcoming, but rest assured we'll have expanded capacity and you won't want to miss it this year!

Thanks Volunteers!
We've had a crew of NCCC AmeriCorps members stationed at the school and helping regularly at the farm this month--thanks for all your hard work and good luck with the next project! This month we also hosted volunteer groups from Johnson & Wales University and the University of Denver--thanks all!

Sprout City T-shirts!
We've partnered with a local craftsman (our very own Farmer Andy) to bring you hand-printed, one-of-a-kind shirts. They're quite punny, if we do say so ourselves, featuring vegetable-themed plays on words like "Farmers are Outstanding in their Fields;" "24 Carrot, Baby;" "Lettuce Turnip the Beets;" and "Kale, Yeah!" They'll be available for a suggested donation of $15 at CSA pickup and Farm Stand days throughout the season, as well as online here.
