I. News and Announcements

• The SBS College is asking graduating seniors to send photos of themselves and friends doing something UMass-related (internships, traveling abroad, a fun class activity, etc.). These photos will be included in a slide-show to be shown at the SBS Senior Celebration Ceremony, and will also be posted on YouTube for friends and family to share. Email the photos with your full name, major and a brief statement about what made UMass special for you. Also, include an explanation of what's in the photo if it needs one.

The Online News Association (ONA) is accepting applications until May 2 for the Student Newsroom at the ONA13 conference in Atlanta next October. If you're selected, all expenses are paid, and it's a great way to meet journalism students and professionals from around the country.

OpenHatch, the UMass Computer Science Club and the UMass Amherst chapter of IEEE are organizing a day-long open source software immersion event on Sunday, April 14. You don't need to be a programmer to contribute to open source. Most open source projects are also in need of designers, translators, documenters, bug-finders and testers.

• Republican strategist Karl Rove will be speaking at 8 p.m. tomorrow, April 9, in the Student Union Ballroom. Free admission.
