The Foundation primarily makes grants to a wide range of organisations that meet one of our chosen areas of focus:

• Young people and hockey.
• Young people and sport in Milton Keynes.

England and Wales Cricket Board £400 for clubs at Jewson

Leading builders’ merchant Jewson has partnered with the England and Wales Cricket Board to support cricket clubs taking part in the award-winning NatWest CricketForce initiative.

Clubs that open a Jewson Privilege Account and make an initial payment of £100 will have another £400 automatically added to their account by ECB which they can use to buy building and decorating products.

Sir Steve Redgrave launches Matalan Sporting Communities

Sir Steve Redgrave has called on teenagers to increase their participation in sport by joining community sports clubs. Sir Steve was speaking at the launch of Matalan Sporting Communities which, in partnership with Sport England, will open up sporting opportunities for 14 to 19 year olds by setting up community sports clubs on school sites.

Lottery health cash injection to get people fit and active

Sport’s role in helping us all get and stay healthy has been given a boost, as Sport England announced £5.8m of investments through its new Get Healthy Get Into Sport fund.
“If physical activity was a drug it would be regarded as a miracle,” says the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies.
