Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world

Quote of the week:

“Life is pure adventure, and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art.” ― Maya Angelou

In just over a week it will be the one year anniversary for Jump for Joy! Photo Project!

That means for an entire year I will have been setting up jumping photo shoots, posting 2-6 fun jumping photos everyday on my blog, sharing inspiring quotes, thoughts and even started including guest blogs... as well as featuring incredible people here every week :) And I plan to keep them coming!

I have met some really amazing people who have opened up and shared themselves for this newsletter so I thought this week I would put myself on the spot and answer my own little questionnaire.

I hope you enjoy my answers as much as I have enjoyed everyone else's :)

I would love to hear from you! Please email me: info@jumpforjoyphotoproject.com your feedback and suggestions on how to improve the project.

EYOÄLHA  ... From: mostly grew up in North Vancouver Works: At having fun creating Jump for Joy Photo Project
 - Taking a thousand jumping photos around the world to create a book.

Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?

A: Its fun! I love the way I feel jumping around. It gets my blood pumping, my heart beat racing. It makes me laugh. It's a creative way to express myself both physically and photographically. I love the energy, movement and over all good feeling I get both taking the photos and jumping around with wonderful people, in interesting locations around the world.

Q.What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A:
I get overcome with adrenaline and excitement whether I am taking the photos or jumping in them. I especially love the challenge of doing jumping self-portrait photos with the camera timer and no tripod. Self-portraits are the best way to entertain myself when I am alone or feel like taking photos and don't have anyone around to shoot.

Q: What inspires you in life?

A: The incredible diversity, power, beauty and adaptability of Nature. People who are uniquely and unapologetically themselves. People who live with integrity, who are creating an uplifting and positive life for themselves and others. People who follow their heart and live life with creativity and passion. People who are true to themselves and treat themselves and others with respect, kindness and dignity. People who overcome great challenges and obstacles in life with positivity and enthusiasm.

Q: What is your greatest passion?
A: Experience. I live, love, travel, create and learn through my experiences. I am passionate about connecting like minded people. I get passionate about building people up and supporting them to succeed in what they love to do. I am passionate about creating. I am passionate about discovering new things about myself and creating my life in a way that feels good and inspires others.

Q: What is your driving force?
A: My driving forces have been fear and love. I am constantly driven to overcome my fears. And I love love :)

Q: What is your philosophy?

A: You never know until you try ... just do it ... and ... never say never.

Q: If you could do anything in the world?
A: I have always wanted to be a millionaire philanthropist. Providing financial support to creative people with talent, athletes, entrepreneurs and or simply people in need would be an absolutely amazing feeling. Or.. since I don't have the money for that yet... I would create a best selling photography book with 1000 photos of people jumping for joy around the world and support people by featuring them in my newsletter ;)

Q: What work/art/projects are you working on?
A:
Jump for Joy! Photo Project is my main focus at the moment. I also post photos to my Flickr page and my Redbubble page on occasion.

Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.

A: As a child,
I was extremely privileged to have the opportunity to experience and travel much of the world with my parents. Before high school was finished, I had already lived in a teepee beside a river, camped on a beach in Thailand, eaten Sushi in Japan, been awed by the Christmas lights on sky scrapers in Hong Kong, ridden an elephant bare back in Sri Lanka, lived almost a year in a van in Morocco, spent the night on a house boat in Holland, gone para-sailing in Mexico, and hiking in the Grand Canyon... and so much more!

Without a doubt, traveling as a child gave me insight into vast cultural differences as well as human similarities. It also gave me an intense case of the travel bug which has never gone away and travel continues to be an important part of my lifestyle.

All photos are self-portraits. The first was in Kauai, Hawaii and the second in North vancouver, Canada and below is in Berlin, Germany. Like Jump for Joy! with Eyoälha on Facebook
