Jovoy Paris
Born at the height of the roaring twenties, Jovoy Paris emerged from a culture of luxury and excess. Originally known among Parisian dandies as the perfect elegant gift for their mistresses, Jovoy's appeal soon spread. Creator Blanche Arvoy's shop on Rue de la Paix quickly became a destination for perfume lovers throughout the city and beyond. Sadly history conspired against this fledgling house, and with the stock market crash of 1929 and the depression that ensued, it was unable to survive. It wasn't until recently that Francois Hénin resurrected the house with the debut of a new range of Eau de Parfums, each of which are a truly modern take on twenties elegance with echoes of its opulent past.
 
 
Les Jeux Sont Faits

Smoky gambling dens, thick with vice and masculinity, are evoked by Les Jeux Sont Faits..."the bets have been placed". This newest release by Jovoy Paris paints a perfect picture of the woodwork, leather chairs, and the men in the clandestine gaming clubs depicted in 1960's French cinema. A warm, masculine and cozy fragrance comprised of tobacco leaves, cumin, sandalwood, patchouli and leather, rounded off by vanilla and labdanum for a boozy, rummy allure.
