Celebrate the Parliament Anniversaries:
Looking Back to Move Forward

May 11, 2013

Dear Cherished Friends,

I hope you have seriously considered joining us for our two hour interfaith celebration at the Sikh Religious Society in Palatine, IL on May 11, 2013 from 3-5 PM. You will be served a vegetarian meal, Langar, provided by the Sikh community. This event, as part of the anniversary initiative Looking Back to Move Forward, will focus on the theme of hope for the future.

Please find the event details in this flyer. All are welcome and we encourage you invite family, friends and colleagues.

Please remember to cover your head (scarves will be provided if you cannot bring one), remove your shoes, and leave all intoxicants (including cigarettes) at home or in the car to observe the rules of the Gurdwara. Also, seating will be on the floor, but chairs can be provided for the elderly and disabled.

We hope you join us for reflections from various religious and spiritual traditions as we work towards the future of the Parliament.

R.S.V.P. to ashley@parliamentofreligions.org or 312.629.2990 x222.

We look forward to seeing you!

* If you are coming from the city and do not have access to a car -- there is a 1:30 PM Metra train (Union Pacific/Northwest Line) that departs from the Olgive Transportation Center and arrives in Palatine at 2:24 PM. We will offer rides from the Palatine station to the Gurdwara. For a return trip, there are trains that depart Palatine at 4:25 PM, 6:25 PM, and 8:25 PM.
