Greetings from Leeds
I hope this message finds you well. It has been quite a year for Philippa and I with the arrival of Joseph, our firstborn, and with the various busking campaigns I have increasingly been involved in, most recently in York. The fight for the right to perform music and art on the streets is ongoing.
I am writing to let you know about an exciting development in my musical life. I have been approached by a lady who has offered to become my manager and has booked me a headline spot at Camden Barfly in London on the 21st of June this year, the first of what we hope will become many gigs and a UK tour.
I have spent 12 years performing on the streets and public spaces of the UK and beyond, now I am facing the challenge of getting a band together and going on the road to play my original music to the discerning gig-going public. This is a big change of gear for me, and I am excited but also slightly terrified!
If you are in London in June, or know anybody who is and might be interested in this gig, could I ask you to let them know about it? I'd love to see some familiar and friendly faces in the crowd! It starts at 7pm on June 21st and is a mere £5!
