About Me

I grew up in Sonoma County and now reside in the Monterey Bay Area and San Luis Obispo County. I'm still learning photography, every day. I don't use photo editing software, don't touch up/fix, and don't do any corrections. I grew up watching my dad take photos and wishing I could be like him. Photographing these wonders has become my passion and I'm happy to share it with you.

New Arrivals

My latest photographs are always posted on my website in the New Arrivals Gallery

What is Ahead

I'm contemplating making a coloring book. I hope to get out on the trails, now that my foot is healed, and capture some images of wildflowers, baby animals, and scenic vistas.

April 2013

Dear <<First Name>>,

April marks the bounty of spring, a time of beauty in flowers, budding trees, and baby animals. (And for some of us, allergies!). The time between December 2012 and March 2013 has been very busy for me with my day job. I really appreciate your support of my e-newsletter and website during these past few months while I've been away (it means so much to me that you are still here). Many of you have found me on Facebook, I am grateful for all the likes. May the spring season offer you many new experiences and joy. Please share this newsletter, forward to friends, and celebrate the beauty of life. Thank you.

Yosemite National Park

We took our annual family trip to Yosemite National Park in February. I am amazed how the trees, waterfalls, and the valley change in one year. My parents have been going there for over forty years and our traditions continue, I'm so glad that we are able to introduce my niece to the wonder of our natural world.

Butterflies and Wishes

A trip to Huntington Beach was completed with the viewing of adults monarchs and monarch caterpillars. I sat in a neighbor's driveway capturing away until she arrived back home.

January Sunrises

I was fortunate to view the sun rise and set over the Pacific Ocean as I commuted on Highway 1 to San Simeon and back for a week in January. The sky turned to a beautiful watercolor with crisp air floating around.

Elephant Seals

A January visit to the Elephant Seal Rookery of Piedras Blancas provided adorable captures of the baby weaners. We watched as one mom ended up with four weaners surrounding her when they were yelled at by other mothers. She took all of them in, which was a rare site compared to the anger that the other seals were displaying.
