Work continues on the restoration of the 1890 Martin guitar that came into the shop. The hide glue has been cooking as I slowly put this puzzle back together. 
 

I have been working on my own guitars to show at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival in August. Here is a picture of a Brazilian rosewood classical I just finished. It will turn heads both visually and tonally at the show. If you have never been to this guitar festival then it is well worth the trip. 



Here is a video of National Fingerstyle champion, Michael Chapdelaine, playing one of my creations known as the orchid guitar. Michael will also be playing my guitars again this year at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. 


In June I will be in Brazil lecturing at the Universidade Federal de Paraná. They have the only university level lutherie course in Brazil and have invited me to come down for some masteclasses. 

In July I will be giving a steel string guitar building course in the State of Minas Gerias in Brazil with Brazilian luthier Luciano Borges. The course is already full and still there are many people wanting to take it. A waiting list has been created.
