Workplace Safety - What are you accountable for?
New must watch video

Every leader wants their workplace and those in it to be safe. Yet hanging over everyone’s head is the financial, legal, brand and, importantly, the moral/personal impacts that result from an unsafe work place. So how do you confront risk in your workplace and what are you personally liable for if something does go wrong?

In this new video by Safety Dimensions, you'll find out the questions used to assess if you have undertaken adequate due diligence. We'll also explore the Powerful 6 Questions, which will help you confront any risk your area of control in the workplace. This video was made for our clients to ensure you and your team go home in the same state you came to work in – is there anything more important?  Watch video and read more

$37m to send your staff AsiaBound

Would your staff benefit from a learning experience in Asia? Following Julia Gillard's release of the Asian Century White Paper, the Australian government has committed to making overseas study experiences in Asia more accessible by announcing the $37 million AsiaBound Grants Program.

Australia needs its future leaders in businesses, universities, and government to be Asia-literate and the program seeks to allow more people to experience Asia first-hand. Working with RTOs like Safety Dimensions, universities and VET institutions, the Government's AsiaBound Grants Program provides more than 10,000 additional grants over three years for your staff to take up approved, short term study and exchange opportunities in Asia. Grants available vary from $2000 to $5000 per learner, depending on the length of study, and recipients may receive an additional grant of $1000 for intensive Asian language tuition taken in preparation for approved short term study or exchange.

The AsiaBound Program provides grants for activities that provide credit (for example Safety Dimensions' Certificate IV to Diploma courses) or are otherwise a mandatory component of the student’s nationally recognised training or university course.

Study programs can include:

  • Paid or unpaid internships or work placements
  • Practicum or clinical placements
  • Short-term study experiences or research trips
  • Short courses and
  • Volunteer projects.

Round 1, 2014 closes 20 May 2013.
