WEEKLY WRAP-UP

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!
Here's a weekly wrap-up of highlights and updates from this past week:
START Rescue Update & Pictures:
WILLOW'S Story…
All we can say is WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!! We LOVE getting updates like this! Below is a letter from Liesl.

Hey Everyone – Another Happy Ending I had to share – I was inspired to tell WILLOW’S story when I was texted a photo of her wearing blue socks…(See below) I have no idea why WILLOW is wearing blue socks, haha, but the important thing is that she is now a million miles away from the Cal City Shelter (where the first photo was taken) and she lives with two people who love her, and have her wear blue socks.
It makes me want to cry, I’m so happy.
WILLOW was pulled from Cal City by Julie Joseph, VERY pregnant, and brought to LUVABULL thanks to START.  She gave birth a week later to 10 healthy babies, surrounded by caring LUVABULL staff.
It took a lot of work and time to find amazing homes for ten Pit Bull puppies… but we did it.
And now WILLOW has been adopted by a couple who takes her for walks in the woods, and loves her like crazy.

Thanks to everyone who helped to save WILLOW. . .  And thanks to START for getting her safely to us in Oregon.

New homes for former Riverside Shelter Residents
RENARD & PEACHES...
RENARD'S new family :)
Great news from Deb at Oregon Dog Rescue, see below.

Two more START dogs went home this week. RENARD and PEACHES seemed to have an affinity to children so it was great that they both have a couple of well behaved kids in their family!  RENARD will also share his home with a big brother boxer.  PEACHES will be an only dog and get all the attention.

"MOTHERS DAY MOM & PUPS"
Before: Sad at the shelter
"MOTHERS DAY MOM & HER PUPS" arrived safely today in Oregon with Luv A Bull. Pups have kennel cough but all in all everyone is doing great.
Because of your kind donations we were able to give them all a new lease on life.
Thank you
After: Happy girl
The latest on CHAMP...
A letter from Sam:
The news keeps getting better! His Red Blood Cell numbers are up from 19% to 25%.  Dr. Woltz wants to keep him on the current cocktail of meds he is on for another week then do another blood draw. If his levels are at least 35% the plan is to ween him off the meds and see if his body can do the work on its own. I can see everyday he is almost back to normal through his mannerisms and personality. Again I can't thank everyone enough for the thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.
