Historic Preservation Grant

In 2012, the City of McMinnville received a grant from the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), part of which has been used in financially assisting private building façade renovation projects within McMinnville’s downtown historic district or for buildings that are individually listed on the National RegisterAs one of the originally approved façade remodel projects was revised and the cost of the project reduced, consequently we have $1,000 left in the “bricks and mortar” project fund.

If you are planning a spring façade project that will be completed by mid June and would like to know if your particular building and project may be considered for this grant, please contact Jennifer Lynagh of the City Planning Department at (503) 434-7311 or stop by the Community Development Center at 231 NE Fifth Street.  Facade projects include signage, painting, structural repair, restoration work, and window replacement to name a few.  Please note that this is a matching grant.
