Underwood Hills Neighborhood Association

Thank you Scotty!

Some of you may have noticed the park's clean glow over the past few days. In addition to new mulch (provided by the city), neighborhood friend and small business owner John Scott (better known as "Scotty") has been pressure washing the playground equipment, stone walls, walkways and pretty much anything with an ounce of grime on it!

He's also applying a new coat of varnish that will protect the equipment. Just to be safe let's keep the kids off the playground equipment until Friday when the varnish has completely cured.

Scotty's work is a great example of how UHNA membership dollars are being used for neighborhood beautification projects.

If you haven't joined the Underwood Hills Neighborhood Association, give it some consideration. You can join for free or pay the optional fee of just $15 per individual, or $30 per family household.

We need your attendance at the BZA meeting to show your support of the UHNA & NPU vote against the variance application

May 13th General Meeting - Cancelled

Since we have had a slow down in UHNA business activity plus our Spring Social is on March 18th, the Steering Committee voted to cancel the March 13th General Meeting.

Upcoming Town Hall Meeting

In our March meeting, there was a brief overview of a proposed Berkeley Park / Underwood Hills Neighborhood Commercial (NC) Zoning District to be put in place along Howell Mill Rd. In the next month or so, we will host a combined neighborhood Town Hall Meeting when more detailed information will be presented on what an NC Zoning District is and how it will benefit the community. An announcement will be sent out soon once the Town Hall Meeting has been scheduled.
