An update from the Willsons
Plant with the Willsons

Dots on the Horizon.

Hi there <<First Name>>!

houseWhat you see on the right is a picture of our new place in Columbia! We took a trip up there recently and one of our prayers was that we would know where we'd be living for next year before we came home. Well, after flying home, three steps before getting to our front door we were able to secure renting this house! The owner agreed to postpone the rental until we move up there in July. God is very good to us.

Columbia is getting closer. There are dots on the horizon now, and soon those dots will become shapes of ideas and people that God has prepared for us during the one year residency. It's definitely an exciting time. On the financial side, we're just about at 70%. That means you all have provided over $20,000 in under 5 months. That's pretty amazing! It's a good thing to remind myself of that consistently because sometimes the only thing I see is the remaining $800 a month we still need to raise. But we're in God's hands and we're living on His time. And if you're interested in giving, you can learn more about that here.

I've been talking more with church planters in the UK and stateside. We've been invited to take a trip to England this fall to meet with other pastors and planters as we continue to investigate if God is drawing us to those places.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. We need them! With only 6 weeks between us and moving, the pressure is starting to ratchet up, especially in the realm of raising funds. I am trying to contact and meet with as many people as possible, so if you feel left out, hopefully I'll be in touch soon! Don't hesitate to contact us, and if there might be anyone you know would be interested in helping finance a new church in a needy area, please email me and let us know.

When you think of us, if you could pray for us these areas, we'd be grateful!

  • that God will continue to provide financially through our support raising efforts
  • that God will continue to reveal His plans for us for the location of the plant
  • that God will allow Christina to get a good job in Columbia (hopefully as a librarian!)
