HILARY'S HAPPENINGS

Hello, Friends. Spring has officially sprung!
And the bees aren't the only ones buzzing! From Carson Kressley and QVC to award ceremonies and birthday milestones, I've been taking time to smell the roses and add a little *light* to my life.

I Q DO U?

This year, I kicked off Spring Fever a little early in February with a full hour of items for your outdoor space on QVC. Now, that the weather FINALLY is getting warmer, it's time to get in the garden. As the Lifestyle & Design Specialist and On-Air Guest Host for Westinghouse Solar Lighting, I'm lighting your landscapes all season long on "The Q".

Here's a look at some of my work over the last two seasons on QVC.

And now for something completely different....
The "Eyes" Have It!
Talk about a spectacle of spectacles!

I was hired to be the host/correspondent for the Vision Expo East this year at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC.  What a great day, chock full of interesting interviews, trendy technology and a high energy fashion show hosted by Fashion Expert/TV Star
Carson Kressley.

Throwback moment: You may notice an old viewmaster sitting on the floor behind us. Oh, Yes! Carson and I did exchange some laughs and stories about our viewmaster slides of choice from back in the day.   His Fav: The Beverly Hillbillies. Mine: Disney & I Love Lucy.  Yep. That's how we roll. We're old school.

That's how I felt as I was being honored for "Excellence in Teaching" at St. John's University where I am an adjunct professor of TV Performance.

It's one thing to be recognized by your colleagues, it's another thing when your students think you're the bomb!  The student-nominated award was given by The National Society of Leadership and Success and is presented to an educator who encourages students to follow their dreams.
It was a great night!   I was sincerely moved (OK, waterworks) when I heard my student, Nick Brigg's speech.  While I make an effort to touch, move and inspire people in my life, I have discovered it works both ways.  My students give it right back.
Next issue: I'm all a flutter with Twitter Chatter, Commercial Workshops & Casting Calls!
 With Love & Light...
