Blast from the Past

October 2011:  Tips on changing color and adding new yarn.
Business Tip Create templates of frequently used forms like submission letters, enclosing project letters, and invoices. Put in the new information and DOUBLE check them for accuracy before sending.
Crochet Tip When making stripes in rows, choose a sequence of an odd number of colors. This will reduce the number of times you have to cut and join new yarn. With an odd number, the yarn you don't need will be dropped and left waiting for you at the end of the row until you need it again. With a short sequence, the unused yarn can be "floated" up the side and worked over with edging.
Design Tip Define generic terms such as "shell", "Cluster" and "bobble". The fun of designing is 'making it up' but be sure to clearly explain the particular definition of generic terms for each pattern.
