Jim Oberst Watercolors - May 13 Newsletter
<<First Name>>, welcome to the May 13, 2013 issue of my fine arts newsletter, a fun and informative resource for both art collectors and artists!

Newly Posted Watercolors
Since my last newsletter I posted five new watercolors on www.weeklywatercolor.com or www.jimoberst.com.  There's a seascape, a "lakescape" from England, two paintings of a rural farm in the Arkansas Delta, and a rather playful semi-abstract.  Three of these five paintings have already been purchased.  But there are lots of available paintings still on my websites!  Click the image or its title for more info.

Did you know that my goal is to ship paintings within one business day of the order, and that I hit this goal almost all of the time?  However, an exception is coming up.  Due to my travel commitments, any paintings ordered after Wednesday, May 15, won't be shipped until June 10.  There's a notice about this on both my websites.

Demos, Workshops, and Exhibits
My one-man exhibit at the Guachoya Cultural Art Center in Lake Village, Arkansas, has ended.  I'd like to thank the wonderful folks I met there for their friendship and support.  Five of my paintings were purchased!  This month I have three paintings hanging in the ArtChurch retrospective exhibit, which is the last exhibit before they move to their new quarters.  And I always have several paintings on display in Artists Workshop Gallery.  My recent Design for Painters seminar in Hot Springs Village was well-attended, fun, and got positive comments from the students.  And I'm preparing for my 1-day watercolor workshop for the Perry County Art League that will take place tomorrow, May 14.  I teach Watercolor Workshops and Design for Painters Seminars throughout Arkansas and the surrounding states.  If your group is interested in a demo or workshop, or needs a juror for an exhibit, please contact me to discuss it.  You can see my schedule of upcoming art events my website Events page.

Artist Tip
This issue's artist tip on a new way to flatten paintings is aimed at watercolor artists.  Please go Here to read this tip on my blog.
