Media Opportunities Available NOW
We are looking for interesting stories for our two media activities!
1) Volunteering’s Voice on Access Manawatu - Fridays at 11am!
Click here for examples of past shows! We have slots open this Friday & next Friday if you are quick they could be yours!
We interview a different group each week about their organisation and how they engage volunteers! We like to talk with a "staff" member and a volunteer where possible, but the show is yours to present what you wish to about your organisation! You can include music of your choice, advertise upcoming events, speak about your sponsors and supporters and pre-record or do the show live! So many options there is really just NO excuse not to do it! It cost you nothing but a little time and you can use the recorded show for publicity after the show airs! Shows can be pre-recorded if you prefer, but this needs to be arranged in advance.
2) Fortnightly articles in The Guardian. Late last year we initiated this joint venture with Palmerston North Community Services Council, us and The Guardian! we have had very positive feedback around the articles and the volunteer positions which are advertised alongside these articles. If you are interested in have an article published, we have writers available to come and speak with you to produce the article! Again you can speak about your upcoming events, engagement of volunteers, acknowledge your sponsors etc. It is your article so you tell us what you want to talk about! We need to meet with you approximately 2-3 weeks prior to your article being published to ensure the article is what you want! We are booked solid with this until the first week in July BUT you may have the perfect need for an article at this time!!
