How proud David was to walk Naomi down the long aisle on a glorious spring day to the waiting Matthew Beech. A meaningful ceremony joined them together as husband and wife. Naomi was attended by her sisters, Esther and Anna and Amy (Matt's sister) and our grand-children, Abrielle (4) and Oscar (3). There was such a relaxed atmosphere as we mingled with guests during the garden party. David played a medley of wedding hymns on the bagpipes at dusk before we enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast for 75 on the garden deck. All so perfect!
This photo, with the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast as the backdrop, was taken by the official photographer. We look forward to seeing more of her shots :)

On Wednesday we will fly to Canberra for a week to attend the National Prayer Breakfast plus the ACL and NACL Dinners. On Saturday the Organising Teamof the National Day of Prayer & Fasting and the 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting will have our annual face-to-face meeting. We also plan to meet with church leaders to promote these events to be held in February and March 2015. We might fit in some sightseeing together in our capital.
On Monday there is an another important meeting in Parliament House. Each year at this, the Canberra Declaration gives awards to politicians who make a significant contribution to supporting Christian values in our society. Because of tightened security in Parliament House, organising this meeting will be a challenge for our team leader, Warwick Marsh.
Please pray for us in the next 6 weeks.
Pray we can finish what needs to be done before leaving for Canberra on Wednesday.
Pray for good meetings and significant contacts while in Canberra from 22-29 October.
Pray for our beach holiday at Currumundi on the Sunshine Coast coming up 3-17 November. We are so much looking forward to that :)
Pray for Marilyn's sister's operation for colon cancer on 12th November. Marilyn will stay with her after she comes out of hospital on 19th November for however long she needs her.
Pray for Sandy who in May became a Christian through the church's CAP ministry. Marilyn has been her support person. It will be a delight to see her being baptised on 23rd November.
Thanks!
Our love in Jesus,
David and Marilyn
Prayer is the key...
"The main lesson about prayer is just this:
Do it! Do it! Do it!
You want to be taught to pray. My answer is pray and never faint,
and then you shall never fail."
John Laidlaw
